Freeride / Wave Riding
Poole Harbour Watersports team rider
Amber Hutchinson is a keen young windsurfer, who first learnt the sport alongside her Dad in Poole Harbour when she was 12 years old. She has grown up embracing more and more water sports including paddle boarding, surfing and wakeboarding as well as being a qualified scuba diver, and has an inherent love for the ocean reflected currently in her studies of marine biology.
When she isn’t freeriding in Bramble Bush Bay or Sandbanks Amber has begun to experience wave riding at Kimmeridge and Branksome. She regularly visits Fuerteventura and Tarifa, to develop her freestyle skills in the lagoons and waves.
Amber has aspirations of completing her instructors’ course to then teach her passion at the harbour during her summers and at university. As well as bringing windsurfing to the forefront of university life and encourage and inspire the participation of more young girls to embrace ocean sports, particularly windsurfing!
