The Wedge - Freestyle weapon

The Wedge is aimed squarely at the freestyle specialist. It's the most radical sail in the collection with a very different feel to the Ken Black 'norm'. The Wedge is optimised for instant response above outright performance. This has been achieved with a striking looking lightweight design, which incorporates more pre-cut fullness in the lower section, together with a luff curve development, that allows the sail to twist efficiently with low downhaul loads. This reduces top end control but gives instant response for acceleration into radical moves. More downhaul can be applied if required, which will give the control needed in higher winds and more demanding conditions. The wedge is certainly specialised, but if not sailing in lines is your thing, it's also one of the most versatile and fun sails on the market.
