Storm - High Wind Freeride
Tushingham was the first sailmaker to realise that not all high-wind sailors are wave sailors, and that they were not being best served by the wave sail offerings of the time. Of course, when it's windy the water will never be flat, but the requirements for all-round performance in high winds and chop, are not the same, as those demanded by radical wave riders. The Storm delivers a blend of balance and power, that combines comfort and control with blistering performance, through the full spectrum of high wind conditions. For 2006 the Storm gets it's biggest upgrade for many years with full 'Airframe' construction together with a major re-working of the flow-shape in the base of the sail. Even though the Storm was already a multiple test winner, we're confident that these changes will enhance its bottom end power delivery and improve the overall feel as a result of the weight reduction. Most significantly, it's been possible to achieve all this together with an improvement in the sail's overall durability and strength. The Storm features a significant range of adjustment, by way of the downhaul and outhaul controls, to guarantee that you will find the setting that best suits you and the prevailing conditions. The end result is a sail that you can simply forget about, in the best possible way, freeing up your attention for best performance and control, in difficult conditions. The 2006 Storm is produced in a comprehensive size range and is now the most complete multi-discipline range of high wind sails ever produced.
